Introduction and Scope

TreasureTrail provides a voluntary return window of fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of confirmed delivery. To maintain the high precision and resale integrity of our search technology, eligibility for a full refund is strictly contingent upon the item being returned in "Factory-New" condition. This is defined as an item that has not been assembled, powered on for extended periods, or subjected to any form of "Field Use." For the purposes of this Policy, Field Use is defined as any instance where a metal detector or its components have come into contact with soil, sand, saltwater, or outdoor mineralized ground. Once the search coil has been utilized in a field environment, the product is classified as "Used" and is immediately ineligible for a standard full refund. All returned goods must be housed in their original, undamaged packaging, including all internal structural inserts, plastic sleeves, heat-shrink seals, and must include all original manuals, batteries, and accessories. TreasureTrail conducts a multi-point technical inspection upon receipt of all returns; we reserve the absolute and sole right to refuse a return or apply a Diminished Value Deduction (see Section 8) if the item shows microscopic signs of wear, debris in the shafts, or scratches on the coil plate that prevent the item from being restocked as a new unit.

 

Statutory Rights and Consumer Protections

Customers should be aware that in many jurisdictions long-distance and online sales are subject to statutory cancellation or withdrawal rights that cannot be waived by contract. In particular, Israeli law affords certain protections for distance sales, and customers in the European Union, European Economic Area, and the United Kingdom benefit from a statutory cooling-off period of at least fourteen (14) days for distance purchases. TreasureTrail honors applicable statutory rights in all relevant jurisdictions. Our store-level return window (described below) is offered in addition to, and in harmony with, those mandatory protections; nothing in this Policy seeks to limit rights that you have under applicable consumer-protection laws.

 

Standard Return Eligibility and Timeframe

If you wish to return an item for change of mind or because it does not meet your expectations, please contact us within fifteen (15) calendar days of the delivery date to request a return. To be eligible for a return under our standard policy, goods should be returned in unused, undamaged condition and in their original packaging, including all accessories, tags, manuals, and documentation. Proof of purchase (order number or receipt) is required to initiate any return or refund. TreasureTrail reviews returned goods upon receipt and reserves the right to refuse or reduce refunds where returned items show signs of use, are missing parts, or otherwise do not meet these eligibility requirements. This standard return window is a store policy intended to make returns predictable and manageable for both customers and suppliers; it supplements any statutory cooling-off rights that may apply to you.

 

Defective, Damaged or Incorrect Items — Reporting and Remedies

We prioritize the functional excellence of the MDX-900 and associated hardware. Should you receive an item that is non-functional or materially different from your order, you must notify us within fifteen (15) calendar days of delivery. To protect the business against fraudulent "damaged on arrival" claims, TreasureTrail requires a Mandatory Technical Verification (MTV) before an RMA is issued. This process requires the Customer to provide high-resolution photographic evidence of the shipping box and the device, alongside a brief video demonstration (under 60 seconds) showing the reported defect in an environment free from electromagnetic interference. Upon receipt of valid MTV evidence, TreasureTrail will investigate the claim and, at its sole discretion, offer a replacement, a full refund, or a partial refund for minor cosmetic issues. Please note that defects resulting from improper assembly, unauthorized hardware modifications, or immersion in water beyond the device’s rated depth (as specified in the user manual) are strictly excluded from this Policy. In cases where a return is deemed valid, TreasureTrail will cover reasonable return shipping costs; however, we reserve the right to issue a "Returnless Refund" or a partial credit for international claims where logistical costs are commercially prohibitive.

 

How to Request a Return — Procedure and Authorization

Before returning any item, you must contact our customer support team at saul.dist.individual@gmail.com to request return authorization and receive instructions on where and how to send the item. Unauthorized or unnotified returns may be refused. When returning an item, you must use a trackable shipping method and retain proof of postage until the return is completed. Returns should be shipped in suitable packaging to prevent damage in transit. After the returned goods arrive at the designated facility, TreasureTrail will inspect the items in accordance with this Policy; inspection may take several business days depending on volume and supplier involvement. For international returns, contact us first so we can provide guidance and reduce unnecessary costs or customs complications.

 

Return Shipping Costs and Responsibility

Return shipping costs and the associated logistical risks are determined by the specific nature of the return request. For all "Change of Mind" returns or instances where a product is found to be functional upon technical inspection, the Customer is solely and exclusively responsible for the cost of return postage, including any secondary insurance or tracking fees. TreasureTrail explicitly states that all original shipping fees paid at the time of purchase are strictly non-refundable and will be withheld from any final settlement. In the event of an international return, the Customer is also liable for all inbound customs duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees required to re-entry the item into the designated fulfillment center; should these fees be left unpaid by the Customer, TreasureTrail reserves the right to deduct these costs from the refund or refuse the shipment at the border. Furthermore, the "Risk of Loss" for all returned merchandise remains entirely with the Customer until a TreasureTrail representative has physically signed for and verified the contents of the package. We strictly mandate the use of a trackable, signature-required shipping method; TreasureTrail cannot and will not accept liability for returns lost, stolen, or damaged in transit where the Customer failed to provide proof of delivery to the correct RMA-designated facility.

 

Refunds — Timing, Method and Practical Details

Once a returned item is received and inspected and a refund is approved, TreasureTrail will process the refund to the original payment method, unless you request store credit instead and we agree. Refunds will be initiated without undue delay and no later than fourteen (14) days after we have received the returned goods or, where applicable, after we have received evidence that you have exercised your statutory cancellation right. Please note that timing for the funds to appear in your account depends on your bank or payment provider and may require additional days beyond the time we issue the refund. In some cases, and where permitted by law, TreasureTrail may offer a refund in the form of store credit first; if you prefer a refund to the original payment method, indicate that preference when you contact support.

 

Partial Refunds, Deductions and Restocking Considerations

TreasureTrail maintains a strict policy regarding the resale value of high-performance electronic hardware. Refunds may be significantly reduced or denied in full where returned items fail to meet the "Factory-New" conditions set out in Section 3. To provide a clear and non-negotiable framework for these situations, we apply a Diminished Value Deduction (DVD) based on the physical condition of the return. Items returned with breached factory seals or opened internal packaging are subject to a minimum 15% deduction. If a technical inspection reveals signs of Field Use, minor cosmetic scratches on the shafts or control box, or evidence of battery-compartment wear, a deduction of 30% to 50% will be applied to account for the loss of resale value as a new unit. In instances where essential components, manuals, or original hardware are missing, the cost of replacement and re-kitting will be deducted from the refund total. TreasureTrail will provide an electronic inspection report and, where practicable, photographic evidence of the returned condition to justify any such deductions. Our determination of an item’s condition and its corresponding market value loss is final and binding; by initiating a return, the Customer acknowledges and accepts these deduction thresholds as a commercially reasonable remedy for the depreciation of opened or used hardware.

 

Non-Returnable and Final Sale Items

Certain categories of goods are not eligible for return for sanitary, safety, or practical reasons. Such non-returnable goods include, without limitation, gift cards, items explicitly marked as “Final Sale” at the time of purchase, and products that by their nature cannot be returned for hygiene reasons once opened. Where a product is custom-made or personalized at the customer’s request, it will also be non-returnable unless faulty or misdescribed. Exchanges and Replacement Orders

TreasureTrail does not offer direct item-for-item exchanges as a standard service. If you wish to receive a different size, color, or model, please follow the return procedure for the original item and place a new order for the replacement once the refund has been issued or a return has been approved. In cases of defective or incorrectly shipped items, and where a like-for-like replacement is available, TreasureTrail may, at its discretion, arrange replacement fulfillment without requiring a separate purchase.

 

Returnless Refunds and Business Discretion for Low-Value Items

To reduce unnecessary expense and friction for both Customers and TreasureTrail, we reserve the right in appropriate circumstances to issue a refund or partial refund without requiring the physical return of low-value items, where return postage would be impractical, or where the cost of return exceeds the value of the product. This practice is applied at TreasureTrail’s discretion and will be offered only where it is a reasonable and commercially sensible remedy.

 

Lost, Stolen or Damaged Returns in Transit

Customers are responsible for using a trackable method when returning products and for keeping proof of postage until the return is complete. TreasureTrail cannot be held responsible for returns that are lost or damaged in transit where the Customer failed to use a traceable shipping method or cannot provide proof of shipment. Where tracked evidence is available, TreasureTrail will assist in pursuing carrier claims and will cooperate in good faith to resolve the matter.

 

Fraud Prevention, Verification and Abuse of Policy

To protect customers and TreasureTrail from fraudulent activity, we reserve the right to require reasonable verification for returns and refunds, including identity confirmation and additional evidence of purchase or product condition for high-value or suspicious claims. TreasureTrail also reserves the right to refuse returns, limit refunds, or restrict service where it reasonably suspects abuse of the returns process or fraudulent behavior. Repeated misuse of returns may result in account restrictions or denial of service.

 

International Returns, Duties and Customs Considerations

International returns present additional complexity because cross-border shipments are subject to customs procedures, duties, taxes, and import/export regulations that vary by country. Customers initiating an international return should contact TreasureTrail support before shipping any goods so that we can advise on the correct process and, where possible, provide the appropriate return label or instructions. Any customs duties or taxes charged as part of a return shipment will generally be the responsibility of the customer unless TreasureTrail has agreed otherwise. In cases where customs or import rules prevent a return or cause a parcel to be returned to sender, we will handle the situation in accordance with our Shipping Policy and Refund Policy and will advise on remedies.

Changes will apply to future purchases; the policy that applied at the time of a particular order will govern that order except where a change is required by law.
